Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. The current president is as well as the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is an California born and raised in a wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon before becoming the owner of the Lakers. Her parents divorced in 1972. split up and she felt emotionally lost. At the age 19 she was appointed the General Manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. She later set up the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She first served as vice-president of the Lakers before taking on the position of president of Great Western Forum. Buss was the father of her deceased father in 2013 which is when the Lakers were acquired by her as well as five of her siblings through a trust. Each of the siblings had equally many votes. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also co-owns Women of Wrestling, a professional organization that has its headquarters at Los Angeles.
